Principal Year-End Message

사랑하는 페더럴웨이 통합한국학교 가족 여러분,

한번도 경험해 보지 못한 이례적인 COVID-19 팬데믹의 어려움 속에서도 이 시기를 꿋꿋이 버텨내신 모든 학생들과 가족 여러분에게 사랑과 존경의 마음을 담은 박수를 힘차게 보냅니다.

페더럴웨이 통합한국학교가 이 시기에 학교를 멈추지 않고 지속할 수 있었던 것은 어려운 중에도 학업을 이어나가려는 모든 학생들과 학부모님들, 선생님들의 한국학교를 향한 열정과 의지 덕분이었습니다. 온라인 수업이라는 제한적인 환경 속에서도, 한국에 대한 사랑과 한국어 실력을 키운 학생들이 참 자랑스러우며, 온라인 수업을 위해 늘 고민하며 연구하신 선생님들의 수고와 이를 옆에서 지켜보며 도우신 학부모님의 노고에 마음 깊이 감사를 드립니다.​

백신을 통해 조금씩 상황이 나아짐을 기대하며, 맞이하는 여름방학을 가족들과 안전하고 즐거운 여름 시간을 갖으시기를 소망합니다. 또한 돌아오는 2021-2022 새학년도에는 컴퓨터 상이 아닌, 학교에서 얼굴을 맞대며 반갑게 다시 만날 그 날을 기대합니다!

Dear Students and Families of KSFW,

To all our students and families who have endured these unprecedented times due to Covid-19, I send you my deepest respects and gratitude.

Korean School of Federal Way was only able to persevere throughout this pandemic due to the passion and persistence of our amazing students, teachers, and families.

I cannot be prouder of our students who, despite limited resources and online classes, have fostered their love for Korea and continued to advance in their Korean studies. Our amazing teachers have continued to research and test out new ways to engage our students and our fellow families have been an indispensable help in leading and guiding our student’s studies. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

As more people are vaccinated, I am hopeful that this coming summer break will finally be a safe and fun time for our families.

In the coming 2021-2022 school year, we are hopeful that we will be able to see your wonderful faces at school in person, rather than on a computer screen.
